Palm trees sillouette against the darkening sky.
We are thrilled to see a few Joshua trees.
It is one of the most photographed ghost towns in the West. It is the first ghost town that I have ever photographed!
Holy Moly! Look at the size of that Joshua tree!

Wow! I love that green stone!
A rainbow glows up ahead.
Again, we park at the sand dunes for some goodbye shots.
Oh, oh! The wind is swirling the sand around and it is heading our way!
Oh my. look at the light on the sand dunes!
It is getting too close for comfort so we jump into the car.
It is not too often that I have seen both ends of a rainbow.
Isn't this fabulous!
The rain intensifies the colours in the rock.
We love the sign for Panamint Springs with the picture of our new favourite bird, the roadrunner!

As we approach the crossroads at Olancha we turn left and continue on Highway 395.
What an inviting sign!
We are up before the crack of dawn on the road again to Joshua Tree Park.
It is lovely and cool and so quiet!
We are exiting the park at Panamint Springs where we will stop for breakfast.
The scenery is so spectacular that we gasp in awe at every turn.
On the road again for another adventure.
I would love to see the view from the house on the top of the hill.
This is the road we drove to come to Palm Springs last Friday but it was dark then so now we get to see what we missed!
Miles and miles of malls , which look better with Palm trees!
Our intersection to Desert Hot Springs from the highway.
This place is near us and also has mineral springs. i looked it up and found out it is "clothing optional" !!
Now we are at Badwater. WOW!
